The Pacific Quality Infrastructure (PQI) Initiative organised its second Calidena workshop on improving cassava quality in Vanuatu.
Calidena is a methodology for assessing value chains through a QI lens.
Local stakeholders discussed how to overcome quality challenges along the cassava value chain and identified immediate and mid-term actions.
Priority measures will include developing a regional cassava standard for the Pacific and strengthening local testing capabilities and trade measurement inspection in Vanuatu.
